On the drive to and from Caracol, you pass through Mountain Pine Ridge. I highly recommend stopping at Rio on Pools. The surreal change of scenery is fantastic. If your hungry, Blancaneaux  Lodge is pure bohemian luxury created by the Coppola family. You can stay, swim, or just grab a bite- You’ll need a refresh from the bumpy roads.

Cocotal Inn and Cabanas is a lovely place on Ambergris Caye, Belize. I was loving the porches on the Main House – Upstairs Two Bedroom.

Belize Ocean Club is a great place to stay near Placencia. Right on the beach, with a dock and phenomenal ocean views. They have daytime excursions to Ranguana Caye, a picture perfect island. The ocean is perfect temperature for a relaxing float in its buoyancy. Healing.

A lovely vacation in Belize started off at Chaa Creek. The cabins were outstanding, with howler monkeys to wake you and all kinds of creatures (including a puma!!!) prowling. If you want a wild experience this is the place. Glamping at Chaa Creek’s Camp Casitas you get fed the best meals. Loved all the employees- Extra shout out to Benjamin helping us navigate to Caracol. The butterflies and the pool have you swimming in beautiful blues. Chaa Creek is the place to experience the jungle before heading out to the surrounding mayan ruins.
